SSL（Secure Sockets Layer）は、ウェブブラウザとウェブサーバー間のデータ通信を暗号化し、セキュアな接続を確立するためのプロトコルです。SSLにより、ユーザーの個人情報や取引データが第三者からの盗聴や改ざんから保護され、安全なオンライン通信が可能となります。SSLは後継のTLS（Transport Layer Security）に進化し、TLSとSSLの用語は時折混同されることがあります。安全なウェブサイトは通常、アドレスバーに「https://」が表示され、SSL/TLSの利用を示しています。

SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a protocol for encrypting data communication between a web browser and a web server and establishing a secure connection. SSL protects your personal information and transaction data from eavesdropping and tampering by third parties, enabling secure online communications. SSL has evolved into its successor TLS (Transport Layer Security), and the terms TLS and SSL are sometimes confused. Secure websites typically have “https://” in the address bar to indicate the use of SSL/TLS.
