In Cambodia, Angkor Wat temple is the most popular natural agriculture that attracts tourists from all around the world. Actually, there are a lot of temples in the different provinces, like Kampong Thom province, Takao province, Preah Vihear province. etc. About my trip last month I got a two days and one night trip to Preah Vihear province with a group of my sister’s friends that contained seven people in the private bus, it is such a good opportunity for me to visit the place that i have never been there before. The journey started in the early morning, we left at 4am in the morning and we arrived at 9pm. Like in this picture, the scenery there looks so amazing with the natural view. Our first target is Phnom Tbeng Meanchey Mountain. After arriving to the province, we go straight to Phnom Tbeng Meanchey. By seeing the stairs to the top of the mountain are very impressive, to reach the top of the mountain, we need to climb 1,092 stairs that separated to 3 stops to visit, we need to spend around 2 hours, including the resting time. During the way up there, we saw the villagers carrying so many things, like food, drinks and other stuff for selling at the top of the mountain sometimes they also work as the carrier the belongings of the visitors for 30,000 riel of service charger. It is really difficult for them to carry that heavy stuff for climbing long stairs but as for their living, they have to do that. The only things that we can help them is to buy their things when we reach the top.
Seeing the view from the top of the mountain is the relaxing moment that I like the most. There is also the pagoda and the waterfall there too. Because my sister’s friends are the local people there, they led the way for us to the waterfall 2km far, through the forest. It was the first adventure moment that I have never tried before. After the 7h trip, we go to find a guesthouse and have dinner before taking a good rest. At that time, I can not even feel my leg after the long walk. For the second day, we went to visit Koh Ker temple that spent around 30mn from Krong Preah Vihear to the temple. I think this structure is different from the other temples that I have seen in other provinces. When you get to the top of the temple, you will see the trees just like green sea with little houses of the villagers there. For the last target is Preah Vihear Temple, it is the main temple in Preah Vihear Province. Prasat Preah Vihear was added to the World Heritage Committee on July 8, 2008. The temple was built at the top of Poy Tadi(a steep cliff), which is the natural border between Cambodia and Thailand It took 1 hour to get there and we need to rent a car there to go up to the temple and one car can keep 10 people per person need to spend 10,000 riel.
There is a lot of interesting history behind the temples and also the name of the cliff with the amazing architecture style. The scenery from the top of the cliff is really breathtaking.
In the end, I suggest that you guys should visit this place if you want to experience the adventure to see the fantastic view with the amazing history of the ancient temple in Cambodia.
