[KIT] 10 islands in Cambodia that you should know

Below are some islands that are considered to be breathtaking and absolutely a tourist spot.

Koh Thmei, situated in the South-East corner of Prey Nob District, Sihanoukville province.

To get to Koh Thmei, make your way to Bat Kokir (Ou Chamnar), about 12km east of Sihanoukville airport. All buses heading to or from Sihanoukville pass by Bat Kokir. Next, hire a motor to take you 10km to the fishing village of Koh Kchhang. From here, Koh Thmei Resort can arrange private transport to the island, or negotiate in the village if you want to explore the island on your own.

Koh Songsa is located in Preah Sihanoukville province and far about ~33km away from the Golden Lion roundabout.

It takes a 25-minute drive with a 40-minute boat ride from Sihanoukville International Airport. The resort offers transfers from Sihanoukville International Airport and boat transfers from Sihanoukville to Song Saa Private Island at additional charges.

Koh Krabey, located in Ream Commune, Sihanoukville.

Driving from Phnom Penh, the distance of about 200km along the single-lane Highway 4, will take about five hours to reach the Six Senses jetty and there is a crossing of water or taking a boat ride about ~30km which the Six Senses Krabey Island Resort will come to escort you.

Koh Rong is an island in the Sihanoukville Province of Cambodia. It’s known for its sandy coves and coral reefs.

To get from Phnom Penh to Koh Rong, you can take either a bus, a taxi, or a flight to Sihanoukville, and then take a ferry from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong.

Koh Rong Sanloem is an island off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia, 4 km south of Koh Rong island.

All ferries leave from Occheuteal pier in Sihanoukville and will either drop you off at Koh Rong Samloem. There are two piers on Koh Rong Samloem, so check with the ferry service to make sure they are dropping you off at the pier closest to your hotel.

Koh Sdach is located in the Gulf of Thailand, around 1.5 km off the coast of BotumSakor national park, in the Kiri Sakor district in Koh Kong province, Cambodia.

Koh Ta Kiev is the biggest of a small group of Cambodian islands situated 4 km off Otres beach, Sihanoukville City, and just 1 km off the coast of Ream National Park, Sihanoukville Province.

You can either arrange a privately chartered boat from Ochheuteal pier or reserve the pick-up service from the resorts.

Koh Russei is one of a group of small islands in the Gulf of Thailand, located about 4.5 km off the coast of Sihanoukville city in southern Cambodia.

From the Sihanoukville airport, you will be driven by shuttle to the dock area where you can catch a ferry to the island. Ferries leave twice a day from the shore on a regular schedule.

Koh Totang, located around Botumsakor National Park between King Island and The Gulf Of Thailand in Koh Kong.

You can get there by taking the local mini-van to the pick-up point for Nomads Land’s boats to transfer to Koh Totang.

Koh Reachbot is located 200 meters from Ream beach, Preah Sihanoukville province, and far about ~40km away from Golden Lions Roundabout

If you travel along National Road 4 to the turning road to Ream beach, about 50 meters and you will see the sign on the left-hand side of the road which is the road to Golden Beach and Silver Beach and that’s the one and only road to get there.
