[KIT] How to travel with low budget

In this article, I will share with you three tips to travel on a low budget.

Travel would costs you a lot of money. And of course, it is true. You have to spend on food, accommodation, entrance fee, transportation, etc. But do you know, you also can travel on a low budget as well if you have a proper plan. And in this article, I will share with you some tips which can help you if you have trouble or concern in terms of budget.

1. Create a proper plan

Of course, planning is really important especially for budget travelers. You don’t need to spend hour by hour planning your trip. However, you should at least have an idea of how long are you will spend in each city, and know the route that your adventure trip will take. Eliminate the unexpected spend, last-minute flight, and unnecessary expanse. Those little things could save you sum amount of money.

2. Do proper research

Never travel to a country or city without doing proper research. This can be included while you’re planning your trip. Do your homework research on the destination you wish or plan to visit. Draw out the brainstorm of things you’re going to spend on during your trip. List down the important categories then does research on each item or topic.

  1. Search about the accommodation fee, what will be included and what will not be included in the packages.
  2. Check out different websites or suppliers so you can have an idea of which supplier offers the best. Then you have the choices to choose.
  3. Booking the accommodation online or with the travel agency. This could save you some money because booking accommodation beforehand is cheaper than walk-in customers
  4. Check out the local restaurant and the review, so you will not end up eating at the expensive restaurant with low-quality food and service
  5. Study the destination carefully, so you will have ideas about the culture and understand their behavior with tourists.
  6. Learn about the destination’s rules and regulations.

3. Pack properly

Pack everything you need so you don’t have to spend on those items while you’re taking your trip. For example, jeans, hoodies, or waterproof jacket in case the weather change. But remember not to bring too much stuffs or the airport will charge you for extra money.

4. Public Transportation

Buses or trains are cheaper than plans. It is really simple. Plus, you can have a long-haul ride to enjoy the view along the way. Moreover, you might save the accommodation fee or a night or two.
