Learning about Facebook marketing at AWS summit Singapore 2018

I was invited to AWS summit Singapore 2018 on 3rd April 2018. The event was held at Singapore Expo, near Changi Airport. The event was organized by Amazon Web Service. Many participants from around the world joined the event and it is estimated to be around 3,000 people.

I was invited by Wayne Cheong and I got to know him when he attended the Tool Event organized by WACA end of February.

He sent me his profile via email, I’m happy to know that he shares the same mission and vision with WACA. I want to thank him for inviting me to this event.

Wayne has experience working for Facebook in the past. He is now a freelancer, and fully exercising his knowledge and experience from Facebook.

Presentations of AWS are divided to 4 sessions. I joined the presentation about machine learning but I hardly hear the speech because the volume was too soft. Additionally, the presentation was focused on database and system construction.

Wayne told me that he was the former manager at Facebook specialty in marketing. A lot of B2B marketing projects were assigned to him. He told me that:

  1.    We can promote B2B marketing via Facebook in Asia.
  2.    Jazz artist achieves great result on monetizing their work.
  3.    Chat box feature is common in marketing. We can use it productively together with marketing automation.

I am pleased to announce that Wayne has decided to join WACA by writing articles about Facebook marketing. I think he is interested to join WACA training course and help to expand web analytics in Asia.

Specialist like Wayne gave a high assessment to WACA. He told me that “It’s easy to do business in South East Asia but it’s not easy to do business in Japan. WACA would be more attractive if WACA can provide various business alliance besides providing online training course”.

At last but not least, I was amazed by the AWS helmet at the photo booth.
