Cricket is a popular sport especially in Australia, India, Pakistan and the United Kingdom. It is known for its complex rules and regulations which set it apart from other types of sport. Of course, the rules are quite challenging to understand but once you finish reading this article you will have a better understanding of this sport and perhap want to try it. There are a few steps to play Cricket. First, you have to understand the basic rules and objectives of the game. The objectives are simple because you only have to score run as many as possible by either batting or obviously running within the time which is usually 3 hours and half. Cricket is divided into 2 sides. One is the batter and one is the bowler. There are 11 players on each side. 2 batters go into the field to play with 11 bowlers. The objective of the bowler is to bowl the ball and try to hit the wickets or stumps behind the batter. If the bowler hits the stumps, the batter is out. If the bowler bowls the ball out of the batter zone, it is called white ball which rewards the batter 1 run. The objective of the bowler is to get rid of the batter as many as possible, so they cannot score many runs. On the batter side, they have to make runs from 1 side to another side or from one stump to the opposite stump. They can do this if and only if they can bat the ball far away, so they will buy some time and try to switch stumps to score runs. If the bowler catches the ball right after batted without touching the ground, the batter goes out. If the ball touches the ground, they can try to bowl the stump where the batter is not presented in the zone. Then, the batter will also go out. The batter strategy is to hit the ball far so they have a lot of time to run. Also, If they can bat really far out of the field without the ball touching the ground, they will be awarded with 6 runs and 4 if the ball hits the ground before it goes out. And once, the batter team runs out of players, both sides will switch from batter to bowler and vice versa. These are the basic rules and regulations plus some strategies for Cricket. Now, here are some tips on how to use bat for batter and catch the ball for bowlers. The batter should put their feet aligned with the stump and the body faces sideways. The head should turn to the bowler. When striking the ball, the batter should hold the bat with both hands, grip it tightly and swing upward like an uppercut if you want the ball to go high and far. And if you want to tap the ball, you should not swing instead you should stop the bat in front of you and keep it straight like blocking. Tips for the bowler are that the ball should be bowled straight and hit the ground. This way the ball can be hardly struck. I think these are everything you need to know about Cricket. It is not as complicated as you might think, it is actually fun once you know all these basic foundations.
