3. Preah Khan Temple

Based on the Google reviews, Preah Khan Temple got a score of 4.7/5 by 1,828 reviews. It is located two kilometers north-east of Angkor Thom. This temple was built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII to honor the former king, his father, King Dharanindravarman II. This larger temple was completed in 1191 A.D. The word of Preah Khan can be translated into English as “The Sacred Sword”. Words from the ancient Cambodian said that Preah Khan was more than just a monastery. It was an entire city of fifty-six hectares.

2. Banteay Srie Temple

This Khmer Architectural Style temple, known as a temple built to the dedicated Shiva, Hindu God, took shape in 967 AD. In this modern-day, word Banteay Srie means “citadel of the woman” and it’s said it must have been built by a woman. It’s located twenty-five kilometers north-east of Angkor Thom. The meaning of this temple is to support for women to empower themselves which makes Banteay Srei a unique temple of all the temples in the region.

The main temple of the region, Angkor Wat, is the largest religious monument and archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Built Between roughly A.D. 1113 and 1150 by King Suryavarman de Second.
