Ingredients
- 1 whole egg
- All-purpose flour
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 & ½ tablespoons of sugar
- A little bit of oil
- Unsalted Butter
- A pinch of salt
- Maple Syrup (Optional)
- Strawberry (Optional)
- Blueberry (Optional)
PS: Strawberry and blueberry is just an optional ingredient, you can add chocolate chip, banana or fruit you have inside your fridge as you prefer. It is not necessary to have all the ingredients I listed in the ingredients list, if you just have egg, flour, milk, sugar, and oil; you’re good to go.
How to make Pancake batter
Firstly, separate the egg white from the egg yolk into two different bowls. Take a bowl that has egg yolk then whisk it with the whisker. Put ½ tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt into the whisked egg then continue to mix the ingredients. Then put the flour into the bowl and continue to whisk until the flour and egg yolk are well mixed. Slowly pour half of the milk into the mixture then continue mixing the batter. After that, pour the rest of the milk into the batter and repeat. Put a little bit of oil into the batter and mixed it well. Put the flour batter aside.
Take the egg white bowl, put half of the sugar into the bowl and whisk it. (Noted: You can use the hand mixer machine or you can use the whisker and whisked it by hand but it might take a few minutes). After a few minutes put the rest of the sugar into the bowl and continue whisking until the egg whites form like clouds and it does not fall off the whisker or hand mixer.
Put half of the egg whites form into the batter, and slowly mix it together. Then put the rest of the egg whites form into the batter and repeat until it is well combined.
Noted: Do not over-mix the batter or else all the air will come off the batter.
How to make pancake
Put the non-stick pan (if you don’t have a non-stick pan then you can use a stick pan) on the stove and turn on the heat to medium-high heat. Spread unsalted butter on the pan ( if you don’t have butter you can use oil as an alternative ingredient, but just a little bit amount of oil) Pour the batter into the pan as big as you prefer and turn the stove to medium-low heat. When there’s a bubble form up, flip the pancake. Wait for one to two minutes, take the pancake off the pan and you’ll have the cooked fluffy pancakes good to eat.
Put the pancake on the plate, and you can decorate it with fruit or anything you like. I’ll cut the strawberry into two and put it on the pancake, along with a handful of blueberry. And I finish it with the maple syrup poured on the finished pancake. And it’s done!
You can serve it with a cup of milk, a cup of juice, or a cup of coffee. Then you’ll have a perfect breakfast
