As a college student, I often have trouble with saving money or make an end meet at the end of the month. I get a certain amount of money from my family every month, still, I usually spend it thoughtlessly and I couldn’t save it up until the end of the month. I hate to ask my family to send me more money every month. Then I found these 5 methods to help me make an end meet every month. So, here are the 3 methods I am going to share with you today.
1. Try to cook at home
It would be great if you have a roommate or housemate so you can share the grocery cost. However, if you live alone by yourself you should still try to cook more at home. Avoid eating out at the restaurant or order takeaway food. Firstly, it is not healthy. And more importantly, it costs you a lot of money. When you cook at home, you can cook three meals with the groceries you’ve bought. And this would save you a lot of money. Plus, cooking is also fun and entertaining in some possible ways.
2. Create Shopping List
It is really important to create a shopping list of the things you have to buy. Don’t go shopping without the shopping list. You might end up buying a lot of stuff more than you need. And it will be a waste of money for you to pay for those unnecessary things. When you’re living alone, there are many things that you don’t need. Therefore, it is not important to waste money on those unnecessary kinds of stuff.
3. Separate your money
Staying at home all the time will stress you out. And of course, you might need some time to escape from home. Separate your allowance would be a big help. The best way to do it is to separate your money for daily expanse, groceries cost, money to spend during the weekend, and money to spend on the books or academic stationery.
