WACA Meets Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF)

takashi

Hi everyone! This is Takashi at Web Analytics Consultants Association.

I hope you are doing great and that you enjoyed the recent SG 50 celebrations.

Today I want to introduce SiTF (Singapore infocomm Technology Federation) and “123JumpStart”. A program started by SiTF to support startups.

Ever since WACA entered the Singapore market, we’ve been consistently amazed by their entrepreneurial spirit and drive for digital excellence. That’s why when I met with Jie Lun from 123JumpStart and Hui Fen from SiTF at this year’s ad:tech asean, we knew we had something special on our hands.

What followed that day was a great conversation. Fast forward a couple of months and as a result of their support, WACA will soon offer Google Analytics study groups at SiTF!

So if you decide to study up on Google Analytics and gain new skills, contact us or give us a call at : +65 3157 5134″

But before we jump into all that, let’s take a look at what SiTF and 123JumpStart are and what they can offer.

About SiTF

SiTFSiTF is “Singapore’s premiere infocomm industry association” with 400 corporations as their members. It supports infocomm companies by helping them connect with each other and find opportunities to collaborate.

Working space

123JumpStart provides modern, fancy, and reasonable working spaces for startups.

As of writing this today, you can rent its space with SGD288+/month. Price may change so check it out here http://www.sitf123js.com/#!services/cwrq

Mentors & Investors

123JumpStart has a network of mentors and investors that help startups grow and guide them through the difficult business discovery process, management, and anything else you can imagine in order to run an effective business.

Interview with 123JumpStart Program Lead

Personally, I wanted to know the “gut feel” of somebody who supports a lot of startups since I’m curious to learn more about the startup boom and here’s a highlight to take away.

“Some people start companies because it looks cool or because it’s trendy but people who succeed have purpose.”

– Jie Lun (123JumpStart Program Lead)

SiTF Events

I was also able to meet Hui Fen, event organizer at SiTF. I also tried to hear her gut feelings, haha. Quite honestly, I am not sure if this was her gut speaking but she did say this, “We have lots of events for infocomm. Please attend and become our member. “

My gut tells me this is more like a calculated response, and certainly a good choice to consider.

I looked into more of their events and they have such a rich lineup, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought they were only holding events related to the internet but this month they will be having events about drones – you know, flying internet kind of thing.

Unfortunately flying things for everyday use (drones) are out of my area of expertise but here you have it, a clear area of improvement and something for me to learn.

It was very good to meet 123JumpStart and SiTF at ad:tech asean.
As WACA continues to help companies learn how to use data for their own good and success, we will be having Google Analytics events at SiTF!
Keep tuned and once the events are scheduled, I will let you know. For now, enjoy the drones 🙂
